Our May 2026 Israel Solidarity Mission Will Be Unique and Impactful

In a collaborative effort organized by Rabbi Weiss and members of our community, our committed volunteers have traveled to Israel for Solidarity Mission trips every year in May. This initiative is driven by an unwavering dedication of our community members to provide support to Israel where it is needed most .  This embodies our shared values and dedication to make a meaningful difference in Israel during the continued time of war.

The May 2026 Israel Solidarity Tour Highlights Will Include:

  • Visits to Notable Organizations: The mission includes insightful visits to key organizations that are making a big difference during the time of war, such as the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund.  At these visits, we offer support and receive a glimpse into the impactful work being done in the community.
  • Cultural and Historical Tours: We will explore the City of David, gaining insights into new and recent developments along with initiatives undertaken in response to the war. Experience the culture of ancient Israel at the “Shuk” open air market in Jerusalem.
  • Planting Trees in Galilee:  As part of our support for the Jewish National Fund, we plan to plant trees in the Lavi Forest in Galilee.  We also did this during our 2025 Solidarity Tour and it was a fun way to directly bless Israel.
  • Tour of Gaza Envelope and Soldier Visits: A tour of the Gaza Envelope and time with soldiers will provide stunning firsthand perspectives on the challenges and resilience of those defending the country. We will bring pizza for the Hebron soldiers and eat with them, thereby ensuring they know that we stand with them.
  • First-Hand Experience of the Scope of the October 7, 2023 Attack: We will visit the graveyard of cars destroyed by Hamas (near Netivot), as well as the site of the Nova Music Festival, and the city of Sderot where the police station battle had taken place.
  • Acts of Kindness: We will go to Tachlit, an organization committed to feeding the poor of Israel during this important time.  Here, we will pack food for the needy, embodying the mission’s spirit of solidarity and compassion.

This mission will be more than just a trip.  It will be a heartfelt journey of support, a unique opportunity to contribute positively, learn how the Jewish people in Israel are personally experiencing life during this war, and stand in solidarity with them.

We have greatly appreciated everyone’s prayers for this meaningful endeavor.  We remain steadfast in our commitment to bless the land and people of Israel, and to support various nonprofit organizations and the volunteers who are working there. Through these acts of kindness and love, we aim to strengthen our bonds of friendship and solidarity with Israel and its people.

Israel Solidarity Tour 2024

When the mother of Moses laid him into a basket of bulrushes and set him adrift, it was an act of faith eulogized later in scripture, but it was certainly an act of desperation as well. She knew he was an exceptional child, and she had to do something. Many of us felt...
