Our Team

Shlomo was a noted lecturer in Bible and Interfaith Affairs. He served as a former Security Guard for Israel’s First Prime Minister David Ben Gurion. He was born and raised in Israel. As a young man in his role as a Security Guard he sat in on the Prime Minister’s Bible Study Sessions where he became inspired to share the importance of Israel and the Bible with the non Jewish world.

Founder

Bruce Larson served as the minister of a church in San Diego for many years. He got to know Shlomo Hizak and his family in the early 1990s and has traveled to Israel many times as he became increasingly involved in the ministry of the AMI Center. He is also actively involved with several other organizations focused on Biblical teaching, blessing Israel, and bringing Christian groups to Israel.

Was Active in the national Synod of the Dutch Reformed Church, and the national Council for Church – and – Israel. From the beginning she was aware of the truth of Shlomo’s vision, she joined several Bible-giving trips abroad and organized conferences in Europe, focusing on the importance of Israel for the Christians.

Agatha van Ommen

Patti and her late husband Dan were close friends of Founder Shlomo.  She is originally from Norwalk, CT, where she and Dan pastored an AG church for over 40 years. Following her husband’s passing, Patti came to Israel to help with enhancing the experience of visiting Christian groups from around the world. Currently she is a world-wide  Evangelist and Teacher, with a heart to bring the message of the importance of Jewish/Christian relationships to the forefront.

Amit Hizak is Shlomo’s son and always assisted his father when needed. He knows how the Center functioned throughout the years and is acquainted with most of the supporters. He is a lecturer and tour guide with practical knowledge of Israel.

Daniel joined the AMI Center in 1986 on a part-time basis before taking on the position of Program Coordinator from 1991 – 2019. In this capacity he accompanied Shlomo Hizak on many of his trips abroad. Daniel has always been active in Interfaith Affairs, and served as AMI President from 2019 – 2025.

Pastor Harold is active in Saint Louis, Missouri, as a pastor, lecturer ,and writer who promotes  the importance of Israel for Christians and their love and support of the Jewish people. He completed  his doctoral work at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO USA.

Throughout decades of ministry, Gary has worked closely with leaders in the Jewish, Catholic, and Protestant communities to build relationships based on commonality and understanding. He is the host of a weekly podcast entitled Growing In God and authors biblical study guides and weekly blogs as well as authoring several books. Gary and his family reside in Hawaii.

Renato Henrique dos Santos from Brazil met Dr. Shlomo Hizak in 2010. He was part of a Cultural and Religious Exchange in Jerusalem at the AMI Center where he learned the importance of bridge building between Jews and Christians. He is currently a Hebrew Teacher in Brazil. He talks about Israel on his YouTube Channel which has over 1.5 million views every month.
