Dear Friends,
Israel’s national election will take place on October 27, 2026. On that day, Israeli citizens will elect the 120 members of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. Because Israel has a multiparty parliamentary system, a party or group of parties must build a governing coalition with the support of at least 61 members of the Knesset. If a government cannot be formed, the country may face another election. Between 2019 and 2022, Israel held five national elections, illustrating the challenges of forming a stable government.
As we approach this important election, let us remember the words of Scripture:
Daniel 2:20–21 (NASB 1995) “Daniel said, ‘Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.’”
The earth belongs to the Lord, and He has all authority in heaven and on earth. Our call to prayer is not about political parties; it is about recognizing God’s sovereignty and standing upon His Word and promises concerning Israel. Let us be watchmen on the walls, as Isaiah 62:6–7 describes, reminding the Lord of His promises and continuing to pray for Israel. May God raise up leaders who seek His wisdom, uphold what is right, and recognize the importance of His Word.
An Inspiring Interview: David Rubin of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund
We invite you to watch an inspiring and informative interview with David Rubin of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, located in the heart of Samaria.
David speaks from his heart about the biblical history of Israel, the Tabernacle (Mishkan in Hebrew), and its long history at Shiloh, where it stood for generations. He also shares his personal testimony of being wounded, along with his young son, in a terrorist attack and the trauma that followed. That experience moved him to establish the Shiloh Children’s Center to help children and families affected by terrorism.
David also discusses the trauma that so many Israelis are experiencing today and the urgent need to provide support and healing to victims of terror. The AMI Center is grateful to help support this important work in Israel.
You can watch this interview on the AMI Center website under Tours/Projects → Tour Videos.
We encourage you to explore our website, where you will find many other recent articles, Bible study guides, and videos designed to deepen your understanding of God’s Word and His purposes for Israel. Please visit us at amijerusalemcenter.org.
Our Upcoming Solidarity Tour to Israel
We are very excited about our upcoming Solidarity Tour to Israel, May 16–25, 2027. The purpose of this tour is to express our love for Israel and the Jewish people through prayer, service, encouragement, and practical acts of blessing.
During our visit to Shiloh, we will meet with David Rubin and visit Tel Shiloh, the historic site where the Tabernacle stood for generations. We will also pack food to help feed those in need in Jerusalem.
In partnership with the Jewish National Fund, we are exploring opportunities to bless communities in northern Israel. One possibility is helping with fruit picking on a Galilean farm.
We also plan to encourage and show our support for IDF soldiers in Hebron. At Tel Hebron, we will reflect on the biblical history of this important city, from Abraham’s time to Caleb’s taking possession of Hebron.
Our itinerary will include many other meaningful experiences, including a VIP tour of the City of David, a visit to Tel Dan near Israel’s northern border, travel across the Golan Heights toward the Syrian border, a stop at the Jordan River, and a visit with a Jewish family in Judea.
We look forward to sharing these experiences with those who join us. Our desire is not simply to see the land of Israel, but to understand its biblical history more deeply, encourage its people, and demonstrate our love and support in tangible ways.
If you would like to learn more about the tour, please visit the AMI Center website or contact us for additional information at jerusalem@amijerusalemcenter.org.
Continuing in Prayer for Israel
Finally, we want to express our gratitude to the organizers of the Global Prayer Event held in Jerusalem on October 7, 2026. We were honored to join Christians from 125 nations in prayer for Israel, expressing our solidarity with Israel and our support for Jewish communities around the world.
Our prayers must not end with a single event. Let us continue to stand with Israel in prayer, asking God to protect its people, comfort those who are grieving, bring healing to those traumatized by terrorism and war, and guide the nation’s leaders. Let us also pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the fulfillment of God’s purposes.
Isaiah 62:7 calls us not to give the Lord rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.
And Psalm 122:6–7 reminds us: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you. May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces.’” (NASB 1995)
May we remain faithful watchmen on the walls, praying for Israel, blessing the Jewish people, and trusting in the faithfulness of our God.
Shalom and blessings,
Bruce Larson
